Ned Burwell has worked as a tattoo artist since 1993, and in 1995 he took up painting. His paintings emulate his tattoo style, he typically uses a limited pallet of colours. Besides being an artist, Ned is also a self-published author. He started his writing journey in 1995 but didn't publish his first book until 2018. Since then, he has authored five books and one colouring book. Outside of his artistry and writing, he has devoted the last 25 years of his life to studying spirituality and self-help. Ned spent eight years with the Ishaya Monks. Eventually, he took vows and became a monk for one year.
